Opening Ceremony Stage

This was the stage at the opening ceremony. What an emotional time. There were 3,000 walkers and there were 250 survivors walking that weekend!

For Margaret and Molly

These are banners that were carried during the walk. Everyone took a turn holding a banner! The is for my daughters, Margaret and Molly!

Arriving at the opening ceremony

It was dark when we arrived at 5:45 on Friday morning. Brian took Amy and I along with our suitcases to the drop off area!

Off for the experience of a lifetime!

In February of 2008, I decided to start on a journey that would change my life forever! I took on the challenge of walking in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3-day walk! It would happen in September and we would walk 60 miles over three days. My friend Amy and I decided to walk to help find a cure. We trained for many months. We tried on different socks, outfits and shoes throughout the training! We both had to raise 2. 200.00 in just a few short months. I mission that both of us did! I wanted to share my journey of the 3-day with you! Throughout the weekend I cried with others, was cold at night, took showers in a semi-trailer, walked and walked but most of all had a wonderful time! Thanks for all of your love and support!
